Hello!!
Arrived safe and well in Cambodia. The flight wasn't too bad, left just after midnight and managed to get a bit of sleep, although by the time we were boarding at KL, was a bit over it and couldn't wait to get to the hotel. Managed to pack everything (although already miss my pillow) and made 20kg but still don't have anything appropriate to wear. :)
The first day I found very hot and thankfully it was just a brief introduction before having a couple of hours spare time and then started house hunting.
The second day the weather seemed much better (read as cloudy) and we had a tour of the city which included an hour at the Russian market (for under USD$40 I bought 2 skirts, 2 shirts, 2 tops, a dress and a t-shirt - so expect clothes packages for presents). We then had lunch and spent the afternoon on a boat on the Mekong river - followed by more house hunting.
Today was spent meeting previous volunteers and going through basic admin. Am very glad to have the night off house hunting!!
The traffic is a little chaotic and have yet to be hit by a bike or car. There are also pedestrian crossings where the little green man actually starts running when the counter gets less than 5 seconds remaining. The food has been good - lots of rice, noodles and veggies but not a lot of protein, so very happy I brought some powder. Had banana in coconut milk today at lunch and it was incredible!
Anyway, should probably look at what to do for dinner :)

Interesting that they have a running green man. Says something about the traffic.
